Palestinian Peacemaker Coming to CFP October 5-9

Amira Barham, a Palestinian Christian, was born and raised in the town of Beit Jala, near Bethlehem. With a passion for social justice, equality, and helping people, Amira obtained a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from California State University Long Beach in 1999 as a Fulbright Scholarship recipient. She has worked as a social worker with many diverse and vulnerable populations in Palestine, the United Kingdom and the United States. Most recently, Amira’s work has been focused on supporting marginalized children in Palestine, mainly from refugee camps, with Sounds of Palestine. Additionally, she is connected to Al Harah Theater, as the developer of policies for safeguarding children.
ALL CENTRAL FLORIDA PRESBYTERY CONGREGATIONS ARE INVITED to meet Amira, serve alongside her at a food distribution event, and/or attend one of her presentations. Below is a schedule of her events:

- SATURDAY, OCT 7, 8:00AM – Noon: Fresh Produce Distribution at First Presbyterian Church, DeLand in partnership with one of our PATH Partners, Society of St. Andrew.
- Sunday, OCT 8: Rockledge Presbyterian Church - Amira will be presenting at the 8:30 and 11:00am services.
- 6pm – Amira will be presenting at the Merritt Island Presbyterian Church (details tba)
